The Dirty Looks exhibition at the @barbicancentre explored how designers like Alexander McQueen used rust, soil, sweat and burning to create raw, tactile surfaces, turning “dirt” into design.

It’s a reminder that not everything needs to be polished or AI-perfect. And yes I did want to put Christina Aguileras ‘dirty’ song over this reel but insta wouldn’t let me.

Marie Antoinette has been inspiring me since my uni days! My very first collection while studying at Contour Fashion was all about her (see the last slide for baby me modelling my own designs!). It’s amazing to see how my design skills have grown since then. If I were to go back and redesign that collection, these sketches are exactly what I would create.

I’ve studied the @vamuseum Marie Antoinette display and the latest catwalk trends, including ditsy florals with an edge from @erdem, to reinterpret her iconic style for today: ditsy florals on pinstripe grounds, corset details, playful bows, ruffles and scalloped trims. A modern twist on historical elegance with a touch of Marie Antoinette seduction 💕

✨ I’m so grateful I took the leap into freelancing ✨A common misconception is that it means ‘less work’ but that’s not been my experience. Freelancing has pushed my skills, given me more time to be creative and actually produce work I love, boosted my productivity, and made me genuinely happy in my career. Gone are the 9–5 chains and crying at the keyboard! 😅 I still get emails… but now I get to respond from the middle of the Sri Lankan jungle 🌴

If you’ve been following me over the past week, you can probably tell how excited I am for the @victoriassecret Fashion Show tonight 🫢✨

Way back in 2017 I was lucky enough to visit the VS Head Office in NYC and see the design teams in action! It was definitely a moment that inspired me to chase this knickers and bras career.

I got to see the archived runway looks on display in the NYC flagship store and they were STUNNING. Can I be a VS angel please 🙈💕

@etam ‘s latest catwalk show nailed the balance of real, wearable lingerie that feels intimate and genuinely empowering, yet still had a creative edge.

🎀 I loved the playful bows and pastel shimmers and the fine, graphic strapping was feminine and sexy but with a real edge👙

Can’t wait to see what the Victoria’s Secret show brings this week… 👀
